Cycling in the
Outer Hebrides
Bikes really need to be stored indoors and treated with the odd drop of oil!
With a well equipped workshop I can tackle most cycle repair jobs. I can provides estimates beforehand if required.
Collection can be arranged and also delivery if you dont feel like riding back home.
Minor repairs can be done immediately but phone first as I am not always around. Usual turn round is three or four days depending on workload.
If you are leaving your bike for repair please leave a note of your name, address and phone number plus an indication of the work required.
I will try and complete repairs as soon as I can. However at certain times I can have a backlog like during and just before school holidays, prior to school cycle proficiency tests etc.
I should not really be telling people this but there is a product that will help keep your bike in good working order, prolong its life and cut the cost of ownership/ repairs etc. Not many people seem to know about it but it can be crucial in our salt laden Hebridean atmosphere. Its called oil. Any oil will do but spray lubricant like TF2 is convenient to use and a light spray once a week or so can keep your bike in good working order between services. I use gallons of the stuff!
