Cycling in the

Please book in advance to avoid disappointment especially if you are coming in  June, July or August.

Bikes are 21 speed steel Y- frame mountain bike based hybrids. Most have carriers.  Baby seats can be provided.   For those wanting to go further I have a number of alloy frame expedition type with carriers and mudguards etc.  Pump, lock, tools, spare tube are provided.  Panniers are available if required.

If you want more of an adventure why not cycle the length of the Outer Hebrides. Start in in Barra where you can hire bikes locally.  I can deliver bikes to await you in Lochboisdale or Eriskay and arrange collection from Stornoway in Lewis (or anywhere in between). Sorry, I can not deliver to the island of Barra itself.

Remember the prevailing wind direction is south west so it is usually better to ride south to north.  More and more people are taking advantage of this service and cycling is by far the best way to experience the islands.

               

Cycles available are mostly hybrid 21-speed Y-frame bikes suitable for men or women. These are perfect for exploring the  roads and machair tracks of the islands.
